Getting Ready for Informer Web Reporting v4.0

by Doug Leupen, President

As we begin our 25th year in business, we celebrate another great year marked by double digit growth and solid achievement in 2008. We continue to invest heavily in product development that exploits new advances in software technologies, anticipates and responds to our customer’s needs, and provides measurable bottom-line benefits to our partners and customers.

We are extremely excited and proud to be releasing Informer Web Reporting 4.0.  This upcoming release will not only provide significant new functionality for our Informer users but recreates the entire underpinning allowing significant flexibility for future product enhancements.

In this release, database connectivity was isolated to allow very flexible connection to most / all commercial databases.  Additionally, release 4.0 employs native query commands and web server caching to optimize speed of data retrieval and provide flexible data manipulation with the retrieved data (e.g. dynamic column sorting and calculated columns).

For end users, the new Web 2.0 User interface provides end users with a flexible, powerful, highly interactive user interface giving them the freedom to explore and analyze their information so that they can better meet the demands of today's rapidly changing environment.  Users will also be delighted with the enhancements to exporting, security, and report scheduling / archiving.

New features now available in this upcoming release also include drag & drop, in-place editing, and auto-complete. The new Analytics feature provides end-users with functionality similar to Excel Pivot Tables.  A user can dynamically group and summarize data by any of the column headers to get numeric totals on any of the report metrics.  From here, the grouped data can be drilled down for details or sorted by any of the selected metrics.  The new built-in Charting capabilities work similarly to create a summary charts.

In all, we are excited to demonstrate this release in the coming months and at upcoming conferences around the country. Contact us at sales@entrinsik.com for more details, and thanks again for your continued support.

New Functionality in Informer v4.0 Wows Customers!

We have been working with several exsiting customers and Partners testing the upcoming release of Infomer with tremendous success. The response to the new functionality - including analytics and archiving - has been great!

We are in the final stages in preparation and will be hosting a special demonstration of the new software at the International Spectrum Conference in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday, March 23rd.

"With the latest release of Informer it took me very little time to take the tables I wanted to work out of Informer and create a SQL View and then use the view instead of the table.   Thus far it works awesome and I already have a number of pre-production reports.   It has added about 10 more layers of added flexibility in reporting", says Todd Doster, Sagitta Administrator and Acting GM of McQueary Henry Bowles Troy, LLP (MHBT).

"The improved interface and functionality in Informer’s new release not only increases accessibility and retrieval speed to my data, but it adds the capacity for analysis and ability integrate with other database platforms", says Jeff Jones at Fresno Pacific University in California.
