Informer Partner Media Services Group Launches New Élan.Web System

Media Services Group (www.msgl.com), a leading developer of integrated publishing and event management software recently announced the release of Élan Version 8.0 which includes the new Élan.Web system integrated with Informer Web Reporting.  
 
Informer, an award-winning web-based reporting and analysis solution developed by Entrinsik (http://www.entrinsik.com), provides real-time access to multiple databases including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Access, DB2, Informix , U2 and others without complex ETL processes, data warehousing, or data cubing.  From an intuitive drag and drop web interface, self-service reporting capabilities enable end users to drill down into data elements in real-time, sort and group, build interactive charts and perform ad-hoc analysis without IT support.  
 
Media Services Group utilized Entrinsik’s software developers kit (SDK) to extend the Informer environment via a plug-in framework. The SDK has been used by many Informer Partners and customers to create default reports, metadata, new security drivers, a customized interface, hooks into legacy business logic and other custom extensions.  
 
Integrating Informer into the new Élan.Web System provides an additional layer of reporting for Élan customers including the ability to: 
  • Setup and schedule reports to be run automatically and delivered via email; 
  • Instantly archive reports and maintain a "point in time" view of data;
  • Change how columns sort, in what order they are displayed on the report, how they subtotal, and even what columns are included in each report on the fly;
  • Seamless export of reports to Excel or PDF;
  • Create dynamic Excel reports that pull real-time data from the Élan database for up to the minute pivot tables, summaries and views in Excel.
